US Lawmaker Accuses Biden Administration of 'Genocide' in Gaza, Criticizes Israeli Military Actions

Rashida Tlaib, a U.S. lawmaker and the only Palestinian American in Congress, has leveled strong criticism at the Biden administration, accusing it of funding what she referred to as a "genocide" against Palestinians. Tlaib also placed responsibility on the Israeli military for a hospital bombing in Gaza, as reported by Fox News.

During a pro-Palestine rally on Capitol Hill, Tlaib became emotional and called for a ceasefire in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas. She expressed her anguish over the bombing of a hospital where children were present. Tlaib shared her frustration with those who urged children not to cry in the midst of such distress, emphasizing the importance of acknowledging their emotions.

Tlaib directly addressed President Biden, asserting that not all of America stands with his approach to the conflict and called for a reevaluation. She characterized the situation as witnessing a genocide while a significant number of casualties continue to mount, yet the world remains largely silent.

Amid intermittent tears, Tlaib commended protesters for being "on the right side of history." It's worth noting that Tlaib had previously repeated Hamas' claim that Israel was responsible for the hospital bombing.
